A triumphant end to a fantastic
weekend! Those members who attended the
40th Annual Meeting will attest - and to those who were unable to
attend - you missed a wonderful opportunity for professional education,
involvement in your state association and fellowship.
The morning began with a delicious
breakfast (as were all the meals and services at the Amway Grand). There was an abundant amount of door prizes
to be had by all - and some members even had two! Of course, in an effort to support our chapters, we purchased a
load of raffle tickets - and a few of our members actually won some of those. The Chinese raffle hosted by the state
netted a whopping $1560 for the scholarship fund. Thanks to all who purchased tickets to support this cause.
The final attendance numbers for events of
the weekend are:
Full registrants 91
Partial registrants 32

A presentation - AThere=s No Town Like Motown@ was made by NALS of Detroit to host the 2003 Annual Meeting. Their offer was graciously accepted. The meeting will be held at the Novi Hilton
May 1 - 3, 2003. The room rate will be
$109 per night for a double.
The passing of the gavel from Carole Schneider to
Beverly Points had its amusing moments and emotional moments. Gifts of Anovelty@ jewelry were given to Carole before presenting her
with some very lovely pieces of jewelry as a parting gift. Beverly=s
address to the members was inspiring and she was pleased to announce her
special visitors that morning - her mother, daughters and future son-in-law.
The appointment of the standing chairs were announced
and Ayours truly@
was ratified as the Audit Chair for the upcoming year. The final ceremony was the installation of
the 2001-2001 Board of Governors.
