LexisNexis will Continue Billing Matters
LexisNexis Practice Management
has announced plans to continue Billing Matters, reversing it's
earlier announcement that the product would sunset at the end of
2013. Billing Matters is the full-featured, fully
integrated billing option for Time Matters. Users of the
accounting features of Billing Matters (formerly known as
Billing Matters Plus), will likely lose that functionality after
2013 since the company still plans to sunset the accounting
portion. Billing Matters accounting users should contact us
early for help with the transition.

Tabs3 and PracticeMaster version 16 adds
Contact Management
The latest version of Tabs3 and PracticeMaster billing and case
management software was released earlier this year. Version 16
distinguishes Clients from Contacts with a new Contact Manager.
It elegantly handles individual and corporate contacts and
easily lets you connect individuals to companies. All Clients
are Contacts and version 16 adds your existing clients to the
Contacts list
and provides a function for
removing any resulting duplicates.

Time Matters, Billing Matters
and LNTPA 11.0 Released
In April 2011, LexisNexis released
Time Matters, Billing Matters and LNTPA version 11.0. The first
Service Pack was released in June.
Version 11
features a new Mobility option that provides view and edit
access to Contacts, Matters and Billing records on a smart phone
or other internet enabled device. Limited fields are available
for viewing and editing and the last 25 billing records of the
logged in Mobility user are available. Look for Calendar
functionality in TM Mobility soon. Other version 11 changes
include improved links to PCLaw and Juris, official support for
Microsoft Windows Terminal Server. We’re waiting for links to
Timeslips 2011 and 2012 and Tabs3 version 16.
Service Pack 3 for Time Matters/LNTPA

Time Matters/LNTPA 10 Service Pack 3
was released June 2010. It adds support for Timeslips
2010, Paperport 12, Worldox GX2, Office 2010 (32-bit) and
HotDocs Player 2010 for LexisNexis Total Practice Advantage.
Service Pack 3 also addresses over 100 issues.
