What is PDF?
  • Portable Document Format
  • Developed by Adobe Systems
  • Captures formatting information from a variety of applications, making it possible to send formatted documents and have them appear on the recipient's screen or printer as they were intended.

Advantages of PDF Documents
  • Universal standard format for viewing.
    • Viewer is free
    • Almost everyone has it
  • E-mailed PDF’s are higher quality than fax.
  • Looks exactly like the copy you created.
  • In color!
  • Recipient cannot edit it.
